LONDON FASHION WEEK – MULBERRY A/W 13

The A-Lister’s flocked in force to the renowned Claridges Hotel to get their fashion fix as the Mulberry A/W 13 show took place. Emma Hill mixed sophistication with the labels British send of humour.

The Mulberry gathering is certainly one of fashions most highly anticipated shows, and with good reason too.  This seasons invites went out to the fashion foie gras in the shape if a giant butterfly, causing receivers to ask themselves, why would butterflies be part of a winter collection?
i want this coat v much
Love the injection of pink
The collection was uber luxurious with skater skirts worn over cropped flared trousers, chunky high heels and leather to die for. Models sported multi-layered monochromatic garments, leather tunics with huge bells sleeves that matched with elbow length gloves in the same colour, playing with proportion and texture.
Think exaggerated shapes in knit jumpers and wool overcoats and you get the picture.
so sophisticated
Models bounced the runway in heavy leather pieces, which were crafted in such a way that made them look, as light as air.  Hair and make-up was cleverly created by Sam McKnight and Mathias Van Hooff, giving models a loose hair look, which was tucked into the garment and parted at the centre. The face was very natural with clear fresh skin, light pink lips and simple eye shadow.
Willow i have my eye on you x

The butterfly question was soon answered as Hills play on butterflies and woodland animals were printed on long dresses and woven through sturdy coats.

The collection was inspired by the “rural English landscape”, nature and the flowers of England.

Love how chic this looks

The collection certainly had some “investment pieces” to be had; however the ultimate accessory this season is the poodle of course.

Mulberry was by far one of my favourite shows along with giants Burberry.
Has anyone else reported on the shows which they adore? What were your favourites, I would love to hear about them.
