Burberry ProrsumS/S 13– The Edit

The Burberry Shows are always a highlight for me; I adore the Burberry staples – the trench coat, trademark ruched dresses its British at its best.  Christopher Bailey injected bright colours into this season’s s/s collection making it a winning concoction in anyone’s eyes. Kensington Palace was the hotspot for the show. The Show saw turquoise and fuchsia ombre-effect cocoon coats, figure-hugging pencil skirts in candy-wrapper colours, lots of elegant swimwear and a vibrancy not seen before from the luxury label’s chief creative. 

I love the London backdrop - Bailey keeps the heritage of the brand close to home.

 

The influence behind this seasons delights was Norman Parkinson’s 1940s photographs; Bailey used the old-worn glamour with digital innovation to create his impressive collection. 

 

Amongst the Frow was some of the sports elite Victoria Pendleton and ace Andy Murray, alongside the sensual Dita Von Teese and the Legend that is Mario Testino.  A Frow wouldn’t be complete without Anna Wintour present!

Some Celeb Models were also in attendance to appreciate – Gabriella Wilde, and Olivia Palermo.

Burberry is renowned for its effortless chic make-up, keeping the models natural and pretty however this season saw a dash of colour, the flirty red lip made a welcomed appearance.

The colour in question is Burberry Lip Velvet in Siren – a soon-to-be release rich rough that is already causing a stir in beauty circles – this is one for your wish list girls!

Make-up artist Wendy Rowe added a slightly darker outline before filling in the lipstick with a brush. A quick blot of power sealed the look and added a matte finish.

Hair followed suit with a slightly more tussed up sexy Burberry girl for SS13. Side partings were the order of the day, with stylist Neil Moodie creating soft cascading waves using Bumble and Bumble Brilliantine styling cream and trusty hot tongs.
