A snippet from the Mulberry s/s 2013 Show

 

No wonder Mulberry has been named “Best British Luxury Brand 2012”; Creative Director Emma Hill has catapulted the brand onto the luxury hit list with her optimistic collection.

Claridges ballroom was transformed into an English garden, complete with turf and gnomes – 1,088 gnomes to be precise - as it played host to the Mulberry Spring Summer 2013 show. 

The Gnome theme played homage to the brands sense of humour. Guests were greeted by Gnomes in gold wheelbarrows and invited to eat cake as the English do.

 

The setting was romantic with tumbled fresh roses and small garden lizards; this was an English garden with a twist.

 

 

The collection was dominated by the 70’s era and an ice cream colour palette.  Think caramel flower jumpers and chic cape-backed trenches.  Metallic pieces meandered through the garden delicately dazzling the Frow.
 

 

 

Amongst the Frow was Olivia Palermo, Alexa Chung, Kate Moss and newcomer champ Jessica Ennis.

 

The season’s palette of apricot, spearmint and fondant pink were inspired by a picture of ice lollies, which Hill cleverly mixed with a 70’s undertone.  The new “it” bag the Willow was revealed, which is available in three tote sizes.  Whilst the Alexa and Del Ray were revamped with gecko and jacquard prints in-line with the ready wear collection.

As usual Emma Hill exhaled with this seasons offering.
